Breast Cancer Images On Mammograms
Does anyone know what "symmetrical changes of the stromal and glandular breast mean?

This was in last year's report a mammogram and said normal, and mammography is also in this last few weeks and also said that normal, but then I got a letter from the center of the image of 10-31-08 saying that the mammogram is abnormal, follow up with the doctor as soon as possible. He also had an ultrasound last week on the same day of the mammogram, which was abnormal. I placed most of this here already, but forgot to ask what those terms meant. Besides, how could have received the last letter? The imaging did just realized that I missed something??? Sorry, I'm very worried, I'm 40 and breast cancer in my family.

Lucas D, breast carcinoma is the most common female cancer and the most common cause of cancer-related death in women. Fibroadenoma is the most benign tumor common in young women and is due to a proliferation of stromal tissue to catch a group of terminal duct lobular units-TLDUs. Mouse is known as the "mama", because it is very mobile and runs away from the examiner's fingers. Fibroadenomas can be inches or more in size small and charateristically round, smooth and firm in the consistency. They are benign and need not be removed. The breast is composed of two main types of tissues: glandular tissues and stromal (supportive) tissue. The house glandular tissue of milk from the lobules and ducts (milk passages). The connective tissue stroma were fatty and fibrous tissues. Any change in the glandular or stromal areas can cause symptoms of benign breast conditions. Some women experience changes in breast tissue during his lifetime. These changes may include an increase in the number of breast cells (hyperplasia) or the occurrence of breast atypical cells (atypical hyperplasia). In some cases, a piece of tissue abnormal breast presenting features may eventually become cancerous tumors. For this reason, doctors carefully monitor patients with cells breast, to ensure that if cancer develops at a later date, is detected and treated early. I am not able to tell you why you should have received a letter indicating that the results were normal and a following letter, which states that changes were detected. You are advised to discuss this with your doctor. This does not mean that changes observed are cancerous or precancerous, benign they can also exist. The term "symmetric" often associated with benign changes, but as always, is not necessarily so.
