Breast Cancer On Long Island
Why is such high rates of breast cancer on Long Island?

There is a gene that helps stop the growth of cancer, but some ethnic groups have a higher incidence of gene mutation, making them more susceptible to developing breast cancer. A higher percentage of women of descent Eastern European Jewry have this mutation. There may be a greater concentration of women with this genetic mutation in Long Island than in Kansas or Kentucky, where people and of different origins settled. Just an opinion.
